Congaree Baptist Church is located in the lower part of Richland county and has existed since 1765 for the purpose of glorifying our Lord Jesus Christ.

We invite you to come join us in one of our worship services where you will find caring and friendly people.  Congaree is easy to find, with plenty of parking and a nursery provided in all services.

We are here as the “pillar and ground of truth”, that is, a place where one can come and hear the truth of the Word of God.  (1st Tim. 3:15 – “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”)

We are here as a place where the people of God might not only assemble to worship, but where they might fellowship with fellow believers.  (Prov. 27:17 – “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”)

We are here to be obedient in carrying out the Great Commission.  (Matt. 28:19,20 – “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”)

We are here to preach the Gospel.

We are here to instruct believers.

We are here to equip believers for service.
